November 22nd: It’s never too early for mince pies! 😋

Ok it is a little early, but we just can’t help craving our first mince pies of the season! Modern mince pies are often made with a crumbly shortcrust pastry and a sweet mincemeat filling of dried fruit and a hint of brandy. November 8th: Let's cook with chestnuts this autumn

Chestnuts are the fruits of the chestnut tree which are edible when cooked and available throughout November and December. Chestnuts can be bought raw from supermarkets during the season, you can also purchase them boiled and vacuum packed (great for cakes and stews) and even ground into chestnut flour in specialist shops.
