The Cookpad community loves to cook together using the online Zoom platform. Everyone is invited to join us. We've answered some of your most common questions about the Zoom sessions in this article.

Q: How do I join the Zoom session?
A: You can register using the Google form on the session blog or newsletter to request the Zoom link and passcode. On the day and time of the session, simply click on the link and type in the passcode. This will connect you to the Zoom kitchen where our Cookpad team will be waiting to greet you.

Q: Can I join the session from my smartphone?
A:
You can join the Zoom session using your smartphone, ipad or laptop. You don't need to download the Zoom app, you should be able to access the Zoom kitchen simply by clicking the URL link that we provide.

Q: How much does it cost to join the Zoom cooking session?
A: All Zoom sessions are free to attend

Q: I don’t want anyone to see my kitchen! Can I still join the session?
A: We love to see your faces, but if you’re feeling shy you can turn off the camera during the session. Everyone will be automatically muted on entry, but please feel free to unmute and ask questions (or say hello) at any time.

Q: I’m not very tech savvy, I’m worried I’ll have trouble connecting to the Zoom kitchen.
A: Don’t worry, our Cookpad team will be on hand to assist you with any technical hiccups. If you’d like to test your Zoom settings, please contact us at info-uk@cookpad.jp

Q: I don’t want to cook but I’d like to join and watch, is this ok?
A: Yes, simply join the session and watch from the comfort of your own home. Then cook the recipes in your own time afterwards.
