Getting started on Cookpad

We are so happy that you have joined our community, Cookpad is world's largest community of home cooks. Our recipe authors are all enthusiastic about cooking and want to share their knowledge, experience and love of food. Sharing is what we do best and everyone, including our community manager team, is an active member of the community.

Let's get started! Here's what you can do on Cookpad:

1.  Upload your own recipes

Perhaps you’d like to share your own favourite recipe? Click on the ‘+’ sign on the bottom menu and select ‘Recipe’. Write your recipe and ingredients, add a story and Photo (if you have one) and publish.

Cookpad is your online cookbook and a chance to have your own recipes in one place. For us, every recipe is unique because it includes a personal experience that is worth sharing with the community. So don’t worry if it is really simple, it might be a refreshing drink you enjoy or a dish you make everyday for dinner.

4. Cooksnaps

Did you cook or do you plan to cook any of the recipes you found and saved? Perfect! Don’t forget to take a photo and share it with the community. We call this photo a Cooksnap 📸

Why share a Cooksnap?

1. Cooksnaps are a record of what you have cooked and how you cooked it. This is an important part of your cooking journey and you’ll find all your Cooksnaps in your profile page.

2. Other cooks love to see how you cooked their dish. It is a great way to share feedback with each other and say thank you!

3. By sharing Cooksnaps you help the community to discover the recipes you enjoyed - shared Cooksnaps are featured on the ‘Inspiration’ feed. Take a look to see what recipes other cooks in the community are cooking.

How to share a Cooksnap? Simply scroll to the bottom of the recipe you would like to cook and select ‘Share your Cooksnap’.
