New Feature Announcement! Cookpad ID πππ
Itβs official! Cookpad ID is live across all of the Cookpad platforms. You can now tag other people in your recipes and comments, and they can tag you back!
What is Cookpad ID?
Your Cookpad ID is unique to you. Because no one else can have the same Cookpad ID as you, other cooks can use it to tag you in recipes and comments.
If you havenβt set up your own Cookpad ID yet, you can do that now in your profile. Click on your profile image to find your profile page. Now click on the pencil icon β so that you can edit your details. You will see that Cookpad has automatically chosen a Cookpad ID for you, but we suggest you change it to make it more personal, fun and easy for other people to remember.
Choose your Cookpad ID then press save. Your ID can be up to 20 characters long, it must be written in latin characters and it can be a mix of numbers, letters and underscores (_). Please note, changing your Cookpad ID does not change your usual username on Cookpad. (In the example image below, Sonia's username stays the same in bold, then underneath the username is the new Cookpad ID @sonia). If you are using the app for IOS or Android, please ensure you have downloaded the latest version of the app before changing your ID.
How to use the Cookpad ID
To tag someone into your recipe description or comment, Find the Cookpad ID of the cook youβd like to tag (you can find this by clicking on their profile image). In the description or comment box, start typing @ and the Cookpad ID. Their name should appear and you can select it. If you follow the cook you are searching for, their name should come up first making it even easier to find them. You can tag up to 3 people per comment.
Tagging other cooks in the community is a great way to say hello and share your cooking with other like minded Cookpad cooks. Having a unique Cookpad ID also helps other cooks find and enjoy your recipes. We hope you have fun using this new feature. Try it in a recipe or comment today!
