The Benefit of Cooksnaps: Giving Recipe Authors Your Feedback
Cooksnaps are photos of meals made by the Cookpad community, using the recipes shared on Cookpad. You can add comments to the photos to give feedback to the Cookpad user who uploaded the recipe.
To leave a Cooksnap for a recipe author, follow the recipe, then take a photo of the finished dish. The finished dish often doesn’t look exactly the same as the original - people change ingredients around, make substitutions based on taste preferences and/or dietary requirements, or simply cook it differently - all of these alterations are part of the natural process of cooking and are encouraged!
When you have your photo, scroll down the page of the recipe that you cooked until you get to the bottom:
Click on the orange button ‘Share your Cooksnap’, and upload your photo. You can add a comment if you wish, an example is shown below:
It is wonderful for the Cookpad community to be able to give and receive feedback in this way. You can say, for example, what you changed about the recipe, what you liked, what you found challenging.
Recipes with Cooksnaps also have increased visibility in the Cookpad recipe feeds as they help to indicate popular recipes with our community are cooking.
So the next time you cook a Cookpad recipe, take a photo and share it with the author and the rest of the Cookpad community. We’d love to see what you’ve made.
