How to search for recipes from around the world:
You can access the Cookpad App on both Android and iOS (iPhone, iPad, etc.) mobile devices:
- Open the side menu by tapping the profile image at the top left corner or swipe from left to right.
- Next, click on the [Settings] (⚙️)
- Then, click [Region] to see a list of our supported regions and languages.
- Follow the same steps to switch back to your home region whenever you need.

When you change the region on Cookpad, the language will switch to that country’s language. You can explore recipes by either typing in the local language or simply clicking on the images (choosing from images is often easier if the language feels challenging!).
Once you’ve found a recipe you like:
- Select the recipe and press Save or tap the Bookmark symbol like this:

2. Then, switch your region back to the United Kingdom.
The saved recipe will now appear in 'Your Collection', making it easier to find, like this:

Important Note:
When you switch back to your original region (e.g. United Kingdom) you will be able to access the translated recipes that you have chosen from the other region in 'Your Collection' on the Cookpad app or website.
This translation feature in Cookpad app is still under development. This feature does not work for all regions (for example the United States) and will take a little more time to become available across all regions and languages.
If in doubt, search for recipes in a language you already know!
You can also translate recipes on the Cookpad website!

How to translate recipes on the Cookpad website?
When you look at a recipe in another Cookpad region, an automatic Google Translate pop-up may appear at the top of your page which will translate the entire page. Select 'English' to translate the page.
If it doesn't, we recommend coping the recipe text and pasting into Google Translate manually, or searching in languages that you already understand.
