How to search for recipes from around the world?

Whether you are using android or ios(iphone) Cookpad app, the steps are very simple and similar:

  1. Open the side menu by tapping the profile image at the top left corner or swipe from left to right.
  2. Next, click on the [Settings] (⚙️)
  3. Then, click [Region], and you would be able to see a list of regions or languages
  4. The same way you can also switch back to other regions whenever you need

When you change the region on Cookpad, the language will switch to that country’s language. You can explore recipes by either typing in the local language or simply clicking on the images (choosing from images is often easier if the language feels challenging!).

Once you’ve found a recipe you like:

  1. Select the recipe and press Save or tap the Bookmark symbol like this:

2. Then, switch your region back to India.
The saved recipe will now appear in 'Your Collection', making it easier to follow, like this:

Important Note:
When you switch back to your orginial region, India- English or Hindi, you will be able to access the translated recipes that you have chosen from other region in 'Your Collection' on the Cookpad website or desktop.

The other language (Japanese or Thai etc) to English/Hindi translation feature in Cookpad app is still under development.  For the app, this feature will take a little more time to become available.

If you are using desktop or Cookpad website,
