Totapuri mangoes are medium to large-sized and have tangy flavour. Totapuri or Ginimoothi mango is widely grown in south India and literally translates to parrot face (gini = parrot, muthi = beak) mango in Kannada. Totapuri is consumed raw with the flesh traditionally along a little salt and chilli powder. Notably, its firm flesh ensures it can withstand long durations of pickling without losing its structure.
