After our update on the 3rd of August you might have noticed Cookpad has a new look! It might take some getting used to, but we are sure you will love it as much as we do. We have completely changed the bottom menu, streamlining it to give you direct access to searches (just tap the magnifying glass icon). Also, we’ve added suggestions to appear in the searches; so even if you don’t know what to cook, inspiration can strike and you can get creative in the kitchen.
How do I search in Cookpad?
- For popular recipes: As soon as you click on the magnifying glass icon you will see some images with the categories of the recipes that are trending!
- By ingredient or kitchen gadget: Open your fridge and choose the ingredients you have, write them in the search bar and ta-da!! You will see all the recipes that other Cookpad Cooks have published using those ingredients. For gadgets simply write the name of the food processor you own.
- By season or time: Type in the search bar 'summer recipes', 'brunch', 'Eid' or any event or time and all the recipes related to it will appear.
- By recipe name: If you’re after specifics, refine your search and write the recipe needed in the search engine, 'aubergine' , 'sourdough bread', 'bangers and mash' ... anything that tickles your taste buds!
- By Cookpad cooks: Find friends on Cookpad by typing their name in the search bar and clicking 'Find Friends' to discover their profile and delicious recipes!
When you’ve cooked the delicious recipe you searched for, take a quick photo of it and cooksnap the author by pressing the “share your cooksnap” button at the bottom of the recipe!
